Chronometer in mahogany case with 56-hour brass movement, dial and minute disc with Roman numerals. The movement numbered 2044. Signed 'Perez Sechel, Altona'. Circa 1850. The disc dia. 10. Box H. 17. B. 17. D. 18 cm. With mahogany transport box. Shows signs of age and wear and tear. Functionality is not guaranteed. Winding spanner included. Box with scratches on the left side and crack in the lid. Original condition. Provenance - Captain Jens Georg Mouritzen (1879-1957). Former cartographer for the King of Belgium. Founded a shipping company specialising in sand suction dredgers and dredging in Denmark and owned the ship 'Sandsu', seized by the Germans during World War II.
